Leaf-peeping on Prospect Mountain

On Prospect Mountain

Yesterday, we took a leaf-peeping trip to Lake George and went up Prospect Mountain’s Veteran’s Memorial Highway.

The highway, built in 1969, is not even 6 miles long but it winds its way some 2,100 feet at the summit. From there you can see the Green Mountains, the Adirondack Mountains and a great view of Lake George Village.

This image was made at one of the lookouts and used Photomatix Pro to produce a fairly natural HDR photo. I will post a panorama of Lake George later today.
