Crab Apple Tree

apple blosom landscapeWhat is more representative of spring than a crab apple (Malus species) tree in full bloom? This one is framed by a wonderful stone fence. We have a similar tree in our back yard that has been with us for four decades. There are many varieties and require bees and other similar insects to pollinate.

This photo was taken with the Canon 70-200 L f/4 lens and post-processed in Lightroom 4 with a touch of Nik Color Efex 4. Click on the image to get a much larger one.
