Red Winged Blackbirds

Also at Wakodahatchee are many Red-Winged Blackbirds. Pretty common but the males are quite nice with their red and yellow shoulder feathers. Females are a subdued, streaky brown, almost like a large, dark sparrow.

He and his mate are taking care of their chicks.

Once again, taken with my Canon 40D + 300 f4 L.
