This image is also a Rose of Sharon taken from the center of the flower.
It was taken into the Topaz Adjust 4 plug-in in Photoshop CS5. I used a special version of one of the presets that I devised for this rendition.

A note about the masthead: the image was taken on the Brooklyn Bridge at dusk using a slow shutter speed to illustrate the movement of the vehicles and the streaming of their headlights.
